Nationally Recognised Training
The CHCSS00129 Individual Support – Ageing Skill Set is a nationally recognised training program designed for experienced care and support workers who want to strengthen their skills in person-centred support for older people.
The skill set develops practical skills for supporting older people in residential aged care, home care and community settings, including dementia support, palliative care, independence, dignity and personalised care.
This skill set is designed for individuals who already hold a Certificate III or higher qualification in Community Services, Health or a related field and want to further develop their aged care expertise.
Training focuses on providing respectful, individualised support that promotes independence, choice, wellbeing and quality of life, while responding appropriately to changing care needs.
Upon successful completion, students will receive a statement of attainment.
