Course Overview

Direct Assessment pathway
Workers must have their experience and/or training in the given skill area.

No certificate is issued for a direct assessment

The worker must be successful in completing the online knowledge assessment in order to be eligible to complete the practical assessment.

Alternate way to attain accreditation is by attending required training course (for more information about training course, please Call 1300 369 320 or visit NBN Courses).

Participants will need to supply the email address of their service provider

Upon competency achieved, your results will be sent through to your service provider within 4 business days, in which they will then upload onto your enAble ID.

Units of competency that can be achieved individually
– Skill 1 – Basic Jumpering at the pillar and/or node
– Skill 2 – Installing underground copper joint enclosure
– Skill 3 – Copper Jointing
– Skill 4 – Performing copper cut ins to mains cable
– Skill 5 – Copper Fault Finding

Entry Requirements

  • Student must be experienced in the skill they want to obtain
  • Student must bring own tools
  • If a student fails- they will be required to book and pay to attend for training of the corresponding unit - no refund will be given for a failed direct assessment
