This qualification represents the roles of professionals in community services, case management, and social housing who are dedicated to managing, coordinating, and delivering person-centred services to individuals, groups, and communities.
At this level, practitioners possess specialized skills and work independently while receiving broad guidance from senior management. They typically provide direct support to individuals or groups, ensuring that needs are met effectively.
In addition to direct support, these workers may oversee other team members and volunteers, engage in case management, coordinate programs, or explore the development of new business opportunities.

Entry Requirements:
There are no entry requirements however a

- National Criminal History Check, obtained at the student’s expense, is mandatory. Depending on the placement provider, students may also need to obtain
- a Working with Children Check; and
- a NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Milcom Institute has the following admission requirements:
- Are at least at age of 18 at the time of commencement of the course.
- LLN and Pre-training review are required to be completed to assist in identifying whether this qualification is appropriate for the education and employment aspirations of the target learner and to identify student’s needs for additional support during their study.
Qualification:
On successful completion of this course, students will receive a qualification for CHC52025 Diploma of Community Services and a Record of results. If a student cannot complete all the units of competency as specified in this qualification, a Statement of Attainment will be provided to indicate the units that have successfully been completed.
Work Placement:
As a requirement of this course, you will complete work placement totaling 100 hours in a community setting. This hands-on industry experience will
prepare you for your future career.
If you are already employed in the chosen industry you may be able to complete your work placement at your current workplace subject to your employer meeting the required requirements.
If you are not currently employed in the chosen industry, we recommend finding a work place as soon as you are enrolled into the qualification.
Pathway Information:
Completion of CHC52025 Diploma of Community Services can serve as a pathway to further education, like the Bachelor of Social Work
