CPP30519 – Certificate III in Technical Security

Licensing/Regulatory Information

Licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to advising on, supplying, installing, maintaining, monitoring, repairing and servicing security equipment in some states and territories. For further information, check with the relevant regulatory authority.

All cabling work, including telephone, data, fire and security alarm systems cabling, that connects with the telecommunications network must be performed by a registered cabler or under the direct supervision of a registered cabler as required by the Australian Communications Media Authority (ACMA) cabling provider rules. • CPP20319 Certificate II in Technical Security

Milcom Institute has the following admission requirements:

• Undertake a Pre-Training Review that includes identifying the course the potential student is enrolling in is suitable and appropriate for the individual.
• Be over the age of 18

Duration

This course will be delivered over a period of 52 weeks. Total program duration is 414 hours. Classroom Training of 14 sessions of 8 hours each, Self-Study of 25 Hours per unit x 10 units and 13 hours per week x 4 units.

Mode of delivery

This program is to be delivered in a classroom-based environment and in a simulated work environment at MILCOM’s site (to provide access to appropriate environments for the practical components of the course).

After achieving this qualification, student can advance to CPP40719 – Certificate IV in Security Management, subject to meeting entry requirements.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer (CT)

Milcom Institute will offer Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer (CT) to all students through the established process. Qualification

On successful completion of this course, students will receive a CPP30519 – Certificate III in Technical Security and a Record of results. If student cannot complete all the units of competency as specified in this qualification, a Statement of Attainment will be provided to students to indicate the units they have successfully completed.
