This unit describes a participant’s skills and knowledge required to work safety at heights in the Resources and Infrastructure Industries. This unit is appropriate for those working in operational roles where they are required to perform working at heights.
The work safely at heights course aims to provide students with an understanding of how to use fall protection equipment in adverse environments correctly. The training helps students identify the hazards of work at height, know key legislation, the various types of fall prevention and protection equipment, and their application and limitations.
Working safely at heights program imparts safety training to candidates joining a profession calling to work at heights. The course covers general safety obligations, workplace responsibilities, personal fall protection, ladder safety and many more. Criteria and Documentation Process for MILCOM’s work safely at heights Course
Participants must be 18 years of age and confident working at heights.
Participants should have shoes with rubber grip soles during the training class.
Duration and delivery mode: This course will be delivered in one face-to-face full day training session at one of the MILCOM training centres or at a mutually convenient and suitable location, for a sufficiently large group of participants.
