They apply specialised knowledge and theoretical concepts to a wide range of workplace scenarios and may also be responsible for supervising volunteers or other educators.

Entry to this qualification is open to individuals who hold a

- CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or its eqivalent successor)
- CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- An Australian diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
- An Australian diploma or certificate III in Children’s Services.
- Demonstrate at least 12 months of cumulative employment (full-time equivalent) within the last 5 years in a regulated education and care service in Australia, supported by verifiable evidence.
- Hold the CHCSS00147 Entry into Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.

Work Placement Requirement:
The CH50125 Diploma Early childhood education and care qualification has mandatory work placement hours. Individuals must undertake a minimum of 280 hours of work placement in a regulated childhood facility
Work placement can be completed at your current place of employment if all requirements can be met as per Assessment criteria.
If you are not currently employed in chosen industry, it is recommended that finding a suitable work place to complete work placement as soon as enrolled into qualification.
Qualification:
On successful completion of this course, students will receive a CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and a Record of results. If student cannot complete all the units of competency as specified in this qualification, a Statement of Attainment will be provided to students to indicate the units they have successfully completed
Pathway Information:
Completion of CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, can also serve as a pathway to higher education, such as a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) degree.
