On successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Install and maintain enterprise networks in emerging and converging technologies
- Install, maintain test and fault find telecommunications and wireless equipment for high speed broadband network infrastructure
- Install and maintain internet protocol (IP) based network in home networks and small and medium enterprises
- Install systems in line with the specifications of the access network owner
- Install and maintain telecommunications access network cabling and infrastructure
- Supervise projects and Manage teams
- Assess installation requirements of converging voice, video and data IP networks installations

Whilst there are no pre-requisites under the approved training package for this course, it is strongly recommended that anyone applying for the course has completed the below listed or equivalent:- ICTCBL236 Install, maintain and modify customer premises communications cabling: ACMA Restricted Rule (where ACMA Restricted Registration is necessary)
- ICTCBL237 Install, maintain and modify customer premises communications cabling: ACMA Open Rule
- ICTCBL301 Install, terminate and certify structured cabling installation
- ICTCBL303 Install and terminate coaxial cable
- OR be a licenced electrician
