This qualification reflects the role of an operator in the telecommunications industry who can apply a broad range of competencies in a varied work context from installation to operation of telecommunications equipment and products. Cabling at the customer premises must be carried out according to requirements of the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) and relevant industry registration bodies, and in line with the specifications of the access network owner. This qualification prepares an individual for entry to the industry.

Learning Outcomes

After successfully completing this course, you will be able to

Course Duration and Delivery Method

This qualification is delivered as blended learning with face-to-face sessions held at the MILCOM training centre over 6-12 months (not including holiday breaks). Learners will work through course material with a trainer and complete assessments during class and during non-class allocated time. Classes may be scheduled at alternative, mutually convenient and suitable locations and can be contextualised for a sufficiently large groups of participants.
