The CPP30507 Certificate III in Technical Security reflects the role of a Technical Security Technician and will cover the educational requirements for telecommunications licencing (Open Registration Course) as well as endorsements for work with Coaxial Cabling and Structured Cabling, which are the most common cabling types for CCTV work. The Alarm Installation Component will cover the set-up of a security monitoring system (for example, Passive Infra-Red sensors) as well as instruction on how to program the control panel for the end users. In the CCTV Installation Component you will learn how to install and test cameras and cabling for a complete CCTV system solution for a domestic or commercial premise. Security and alarm system installation work is a regulated activity in some Australian States and Territories. Course Duration

This qualification is delivered face-to- face at the MILCOM training centre over 12 – 24 months.

Mode of delivery

Delivery is done via face to face training, online learning and includes knowledge and skills based assessment. MILCOM ensures to satisfy the requirement of amount of learning and AQF volume of learning for this course which includes all teaching, learning and assessment activities that are required to be undertaken by the learner to achieve the learning outcomes.
